Osun West Senator, Lere Oyewumi Empower Constituents
Senator Lere Oyewumi has distributed empowerment kits and tools to farmers and businesspeople as well as partymen in the Osun West Senatorial District area of Osun State.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi, the senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, stunned constituents and community leaders when he unveiled gigantic empowerment equipment he facilitated for the wellbeing of the people.
It was a celebration of efficient and diligent represention on Friday, Nov. 17 when leaders of thoughts across religious, political and especially traditional institutions all converged in Ikire, the senator's hometown, to witness the flamboyant distribution of the materials to beneficiaries meticulously selected across the ten local governments that form the components of Osun West.
Tens of hundreds of the beneficiaries cut across the key sectors of local economy such as agriculture, business and transportation. In their numbers, 120 people got one Bajaj Motorcycle each.
Other materials distributed were 500 bags of fertilisers and ₦25 million worth of grant. Farmers were jubilating as they received materials vital to increase their farm yields at no cost from a people-oriented senator under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Words were pouring out of the mouths of those who received non-returnable money to jumpstart their business in their local communities, which will in turn have ripple effects on family and local economies
Floating this kind of initiative isn't a mean feat. Of course, the people deserve even more and that is the watchword of the senator. He has remained constant in saying that he will not rest on his oars in making his people happy.
This is a lawmaker that understands the power democracy vests in the people. He understands that democracy is all about the masses and their collective happiness.
As Akogun remains undeterred to continue to seek support of the government and its constituent units, the people of Osun State can be rest assured that their mandate is in good hands, well guarded and protected.
