2026: SRJ Urges Osun Voters To Join Alubarika Movement

 

Dr. Ajibola Basiru, an APC Governorship Aspirant calls osun voters to join the Alubarika Movement as the 2026 Gubernatorial elections draws closer

On Tuesday January 28, 2025, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, in a Facebook post called the good people of osun state to join the Alubarika Movement. He wrote:

“Join the Alubarika Movement TODAY!

The economic state of Osun has deteriorated significantly, leaving much to be desired. Since November 2022, the governance trajectory under the PDP - Adeleke's administration has been marked by declining performance and weakening fiscal stability. The Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) is alarmingly poor, riddled with inefficiencies and systemic leakages that divert public funds into private hands.

Distressingly, Osun now lags behind Ekiti State in critical metrics such as fiscal discipline, financial policy, IGR growth, governance standards, and adherence to due process.

The economic framework inherited by this administration in 2022 was both robust and strategically designed, providing a solid foundation for growth and prosperity. Osun is endowed with vast economic assets, including the gold reserves in Ijeshaland, thriving palm oil production in Ayedade local government, expansive cocoa plantations in Ife and Ibokun, and fertile land for plantain cultivation in Owena-Ijesha and Ikire. 

Additionally, the state boasts a resourceful civil service and numerous latent opportunities yet to be harnessed. Our proposed Alubarika Economic Resuscitation and Development Agenda is a comprehensive blueprint for revitalizing Osun’s economy. By leveraging our extensive national and global partnerships and networks, we aim to unlock the state’s vast potential, combat poverty, and create sustainable employment opportunities. This strategy will involve strategic resource optimization, fostering private-public partnerships, and tapping into international investment streams.

Our approach emphasizes transformative governance, leveraging best practices in resource management, economic diversification, and social inclusion. The gold sector, agro-industrial expansion, and infrastructural development will serve as pillars of our economic revival. Moreover, we are committed to eradicating unemployment and poverty by deploying innovative policies and targeted initiatives. Osun people will be happy, once again. 

The Alubarika Agenda represents a paradigm shift in governance, driven by expertise, capacity, and a clear vision for a prosperous Osun.
